When artist Martha Pfanschmidt walked into her studio one day she saw small painting panels and pieces of paper everywhere. Confronted with what she saw as a microcosm of her life, a life in which she was a wife, a friend, a sister, a caregiver and a professional among other personas, she felt a need to find order in both her studio practice and in her life. The ensuing months have been spent pondering ways to make the Many into One, pulling the pieces together to make a show and a life.
