Sue-Del McCulloch is showing large landscape paintings. Her observations of this year of tumultuous weather is the foundation of her current work.  Her use of line, shape and color is exaggerated, attempting to express the ephemeral effects of wild color, tumbled shapes; and the still insistent beauty produced of our present condition.

Stuart Jacobson is showing stone sculpture. In his current work , he has been experimenting with a more horizontal orientation, using a fluid, curvaceous vocabulary, while pushing the physical limits of the material in an attempt to create heightened dramatic effect.

Within their contrasting materials, these artists have chosen a similar sensuous vocabulary, suggesting  a related expression in their current ‘earth works’.
