December at Waterstone features the whimsical wood carvings of artist Stan Peterson. His newest series, A Conference of Birds, takes the viewer on a journey to a magical place where birds fly with passengers on their wings and rabbits read books. The below information is for immediate release.

Stan Peterson, a self-taught whittler and wanderer discovered his love of story telling while carrying mail for the Portland postal service. Walking his route daily and visiting with folks along the way led him to many surprising places. Peterson’s unique, hand-painted, wooden sculptures tell the story of these real and imaged places.
